Peak Weather App Aesthetics
I have a soft spot for 90s user interfaces as opposed to the flat-UI that is ubiquitous today. I am also a big fan of the 90s weather channel aesthetic and music choices in a nostalgic v a p o r w a v e kind of way.
So I did a bit of a fan-fiction mashup, imagining what a weather channel app released for windows 98 might have been like—and, in my humble opinion, the results are very cozy.
Hard to explain, but something about the old icons and music with the soulful elevated buttons that depress on click warms my heart.
