Saint Pius X Catechism

I've been working on an app for studying the Catechism of Saint Pius X, available on the web, iPhone, and iPad. It has 959 questions covering the Creed, prayer, the sacraments, the Commandments, and the virtues. The web version runs in your browser and can also be installed as a PWA.

The basic idea is simple: read a lesson or listen to the questions and answers, then put the text aside and try answering from memory. You can type your answer or say it aloud and have the app check it. If you get stuck, reveal the answer and come back to it later. Reviews adapt to your progress so you spend more time on the questions you need to practice.

You don't have to get every word right to make progress. Optional Semantic Review uses TypeSafe's Jev to check how much of the meaning you've recalled, giving partial credit as you work toward the complete answer. It can make mistakes, but you can look back at what you said alongside the catechism's answer and see what was missing.

There is also chapter audio for listening without practicing, and a Voice mode that lets you repeat questions, hear answers, and move ahead without tapping the screen. Voice support on the web depends on your browser; typing works without it.

The native app includes the text and recordings for offline use. On the web, reading works offline after your first visit, and you can download chapter audio to listen later. Semantic Review needs an internet connection. Neither version requires an account.
